As part of PlayStation Plus' subscription service, players will have access to PlayStation Pals, a social network interface built into the PlayStation console for gamers to connect outside of lobby play.

In addition to daily updated, autogenerated lists of potential players, users can search for others based on a variety of specifications, including area, interests, and gameplay similarities.

It also allows users to monitor their friends' activities and update players about their own, while enabling privacy settings to be tailored to the individual.
